As I mentioned in my previous posts, working alongside an experienced developer or on your own hobby projects can quickly improve your software skills.
However, this learning curve also flattens out after a while. Without proper guidance while developing your hobby projects, you will only learn the hard way. This is not bad, but it may take you much longer than necessary.
Content creators can be invaluable to your journey as a developer! Some give you isolated instructions, others update you on news within the space,…
About “Keep it simple, stupid.” On my YouTube channel, I continually work on real-world applications while exploring and taking advantage of the latest features of .NET and Azure cloud services.
I share with you how I implement them, with real use cases and how I design complete solutions from start to finish. I also share the code with you so you can learn or adapt it to your needs.
My most effective method to improve my software skills.
By reusing someone else’s well-crafted code, you can gain a deeper understanding of why and how the author solves certain problems. How they structure their projects and more. By diving into it with the right curiosity and willingness to learn, you will adopt excellent practices and advance your overall knowledge of software development.
How would I know? Well, I’ve been developing daily for over 11 years, I started as a self-taught programmer, learned a thing or two in college, and learned more on the job. In some jobs I was alone, in others I had the privilege of working with peer developers. Besides that, I’m always working on hobby projects and learning from them slowly but surely.
However, the impact of immersing myself in the inspiring work of others has taken me far beyond what I could learn up to that point. Not only is that work the result of the author’s decades of experience, but the time invested and attention to detail make it a work of art and an invaluable resource to learn from.
That’s exactly what I aim to offer with my content! I put a lot of time, effort, and thought into creating valuable resources to learn from, act as an alternative solution/perspective, or mold into someone’s work.
I’m glad to see it’s doing exactly that for a variety of developers:
