A sales engineer is a technical expert who works closely with the sales team to sell complex technical products and services. Their primary role involves understanding customer requirements, demonstrating how a product or service can meet those needs, and addressing any technical questions or concerns that may arise during the sales process.

They are seen as playing a critical role in enabling organizations to deliver high-quality software more quickly and efficiently by integrating development and operations processes, automating repetitive tasks, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
